What is a Brushstrokes + Beverages™ public event like?

In a relaxed group setting, an artist will guide you through replicating the night’s featured painting step by step. Whether you are an aspiring Van Gogh or just looking to explore your creative side, you are sure to go home with a painting that is uniquely yours. By the end of the evening you will be amazed at the artwork you have created! The events start at 7:00 pm most nights, or 3:00 pm on Sundays. We suggest arriving early to find parking and get the seat of your choice. Events are 2- 2 1/2 hours with frequent breaks.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Because of limited seating, signing up in advance is required. You can register on the website by going to our Event Calendar, select the event you wish to attend and click sign up. If an event is sold out, please email us at info@brushstrokesandbevs.com to be put on our waiting list.

What information do I need to provide to be put on the waiting list?

Please email the following to info@brushstrokesandbevs.com: Date of Event, Full Name, Telephone, Email, how many are in your party, and payment method (If you purchased any of our online deals then please provide voucher #s).

What is the cost of a Brushstrokes + Beverages™ event?

The price ranges between $40-$50 depending on the night, the location, the painting, and the type of event.

What is included in the price?

16x20 high quality stretched canvases, non-toxic acrylic paint, paint brushes, table easels, aprons and an entertaining step by step instruction on the night’s featured painting! Beverages, food, and alcohol are not included.

Do you take photographs?

Yes, we take multiple photographs of the event in action as well as a group photo at the end. We post every photo from every event on our Facebook page! If you would like to be excluded from all photos please let us know at the beginning of the event.

Are the events suitable for kids?

Our events are meant to be fun, social events for adults and are all 21+. However, we offer kids events during the summer months and we have private events for kids all the time! Click here if you’re interested in having a Private Event with us, only 10 person minimum!

What do I wear?

We will provide aprons, but we recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on - just in case! Remember - we are using acrylic paints so be sure to leave nice jackets and purses at home! Brushstrokes + Beverages™ cannot be responsible for any paint damage.

Do you provide alcohol or can I BYOB?

No, we do not provide alcohol.

For public events at our studio, you’re welcome to bring in your own food/beverage! However, no alcohol is allowed at public events located at our studio.

For private events at our studio, you’re welcome to bring in whatever food/beverage you wish, including alcohol, for no additional charge. Click here if you’re interested in having a Private Event with us, only 10 person minimum!

For public events at a restaurant/wine bar, alcohol is available for purchase including beer, wine, and cocktails! Because of the agreements with our venues, we prefer you purchase from the establishment the event is being held in. If you BYOB, the venue will charge a $12-$15 cork fee.

**Food/beverage is not included in your Brushstrokes + Beverages™ event price.

Can I bring in food?

Yes! You are welcome to bring in your own food to our studio location for both public and private events! If the event is held at a restaurant or wine bar, no outside food is allowed.

What time do I need to arrive for an event?

What is your cancellation policy for public events?

Because of our wait lists, we ask you to give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. **Cancellations should be made by email ONLY – info@brushstrokesandbevs.com.** This provides us the opportunity to fill the space. If you have a Groupon voucher and wish to cancel your reservation, please remember to give us 24 hour notice or else your voucher will be subject to forfeiture.

When does the new schedule come out?

Our Event Calendar is in a constant 30 day rotation. When one week passes, another gets posted. Stay tuned for more exciting events and new paintings!

I missed a painting that I really want to paint! How often will you repeat paintings?

Please let us know! We will keep this in mind when scheduling the next months paintings! Most paintings get scheduled once a month.

If I come with a friend or a group, can we all sit together?

We always try to seat friends and parties together… just be sure to let us know when making your reservation and we’ll be sure to make the appropriate seating arrangements.

What is parking like at your Studio Location?

Our Studio Location only has street parking available, however the meters are FREE after 6pm and on Sundays! There’s also a parking lot and a garage located just a block away. AirGarage Parking Lot: $2 per hour (401 E 1st St, Long Beach, CA 90802) Courtyard Hotel Parking Garage: $33 daily rate (500 E 1st St, Long Beach, CA 90802).

Is it ok if I reserve an event before my discounted voucher expires which takes place after the expiration?

Yes! As long as you book an event using your voucher before it expires then we will honor it on the day of the event even if it takes place after the expiration.

Do you offer extensions for discounted vouchers?

Unfortunately because of the agreements we have with these companies, no extensions are allowed. However the amount you already paid for the voucher never expires and is always good as credit towards full price. If you sign up using an expired voucher as credit, the difference in price will be due upon arrival of the event.

What steps are you taking to provide me with a Clean + Safe environment?

• Our staff has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Hand sanitizer is available
• We encourage frequent hand-washing
• Increased sanitation throughout the studio

CourseHorse, Yelp and Google Ticket Purchases

If you purchased your event ticket through CourseHorse, Yelp or Google then our Refund & Cancellation policy applies to your purchase. If you are entitled to a refund, or have any questions, please visit the CourseHorse site and contact their customer service team. Yelp and Google purchases also refer to the CourseHorse link above.

What is your Refund Policy?

Refunds are given for full price public event tickets ($40-$50) unless it is within 48 hours of the start of the event. We do not offer refunds for private event deposits, discounted vouchers, gift cards or no-shows, if you know you won’t be able to make the event please contact us before the event takes place and we can accommodate an event transfer to a future date/time. Any ticket/voucher purchases for no-shows will be forfeited.
